If you are thinking of stuffing your proxy website pages with a lot of supposedly high paying adsense keywords, I suggest you to drop that idea immediately. One way or another, the adsense bot will find out that you are a school proxy even if you do not use any “proxy” words in your content or domain name. If you deliberately try to trick the adsense bot by using say HottestSinglesDating dot com and putting 100 lines of text that sound like “we help you find hot dates from Asia, Europe, Japanese, Thailand, and so on, there really is a high chance of the adsense bot getting tricked into showing dating related ads on your disguised proxy website.

By the way, dating is quite a hot keyword, the pay per click is high and most guys like to click on dating ads anyway. You may get a few high paying clicks on these dating ads, however you will find that after a while there are no more clicks being registered on your adsense account even though you are continuing to have incoming proxy visitors to that disguised proxy site. We do not really know what is happening, but there are some educated guesses on this phenomenon. Whatever the correct answer may be, your only concern is that no clicks, no profit. One explanation is that google can track the where your proxy traffic are coming from. For a new proxy, it is unlikely that you get a lot of type in traffic on the first day of business unless you do offline marketing and promotion such as giving out pamphlets in schools and colleges. We have not tried that, maybe it works! Most of you are going to do online promotion, so you put a link to your disguised anonymous proxy on related places such as school proxy listings and anonymous proxy topsites. When anonymous web users click on those links, they are directed to your disguised proxies which contains adsense advertisement codes that calls some javascript codes from google’s servers. At this moment, google can check the referrer header values, find out which website did the visitor came from and then check their own secret database on what is the type of that referring website. After you get the first 100 visitors or so that came from other proxy listing sites, adsense is able to conclude that you are most likely a proxy site as well. It may decide to pull all dating advertisements from your disguised proxies and show some proxy related advertisements instead. It may also get confused, remember that the adsense bot is clever but not very clever, and cannot decide whether you are really a proxy, dating or unclassified site. You may end up getting zero ads or public service ads if it cannot decide what your free website is really all about. No ads leads to no clicks and no clicks mean no money. Another guess is that adsense is still showing dating ads, your proxy visitors are still happily clicking on those ads and getting some hot dates. However, since yours is a new site and adsense does not have sufficient information on your site in its database, it may actually shave off all those additional clicks and earnings your proxy users could have made for you. They may claim to do this in order to protect advertisers from webmasters that try to game the adsense system and send worthless traffic. As we know, advertisers wanted to make money by selling something while we proxy publishers only wanted clicks without caring whether those clicks really make money for the advertisers or not. If your proxy users are mostly students without access to their own credit cards, the advertisers will not be able to sell anything then. If you still want to try for yourself, hey its good attitude to do so. Do not fully believe what I say here nor anyone online and especially self-proclaimed proxy gurus. Do it yourself and experiment. For example, try registering proxyKeywords dot com or keywordsProxy dot com to test how well do high paying keywords really pay out for proxy owners. You should not just aim for the top paying keywords such as student consolidated loans, life insurance, home mortgage etc. Take into consideration your main proxy users. Will they be interested if I manage to get the adsense bot to show them life insurance or mortgage ads? Will they click if “they” are 15 year old students? No clicks no money, remember that no matter how much you can potentially earn for your proxy as long as someone clicks. You need to find keywords that are both highly priced and highly interesting to your site visitors. For school proxy students, try computer games, warcraft, myspace templates, dating, mobile phones etc. For office workers, try notebooks, personal appliances, dating, investments, money stuff. Be careful with some really hot keywords, because those are flagged as spam keywords. You will not get any ads for those keywords to show on your proxy website no matter how you word them into your domain name or how much you stuff them into your page content. One good way to test out before buying a keyword domain name is to setup a local web server for testing. I am not going to touch on setting things up in linux environments because I suck with those operating systems. You should know how things work way much better than me if you have been using linux. For windows users, go and download the xampp package which includes the apache web server, php scripting engine, mysql database server and a lot of other stuff that I have never concerned with. After installation is completed, you need to edit the http.conf apache configuration file and the windows/system32/drivers/etc/host file. You need to add another virtual server to http.conf and that is the keyword loaded domain name that you are thinking of registering. For example we use proxyInsurance dot com. Next you need to edit the windows “host” file mentioned above such that when you type in proxyInsurance dot com in the url address bas of your web browser, it will access that proxy url from your local web server.
